Foot Binding
The other day on the Skytrain I swear I saw a modern day attempt at foot binding. You know that thing they used to do in China to keep women’s feet small but actually just caused incredible harm?
And some people think abusing our bodies for impossible and ironically unattractive ideals of beauty was a relatively new thing - this is like old school plastic surgery.
