Review: Hoover Dam: Pretty Dam Impressive
We took the $11 power plant tour which was informative and funny and seemed a good length both in terms of time and walking. Much more than that and we would’ve needed a Red Bull, especially after all the dam free sights and walking you can do at the top. Even the dam bathrooms were interesting. Only a 40 minute drive from Las Vegas if you have the means I highly recommend it but I think having the freedom of driving there yourself rather than in a dam tour group is the way to go.
Along the way you’ll pass through Boulder which is a rather unique place all its own, with bronze statues that seem to honour, among other things, a janitor.
