An odd dichotomy; I’ve excited about Vegas and the election but the weather is piss poor; right now its 8°C and raining in Vancouver, in Vegas its 19°C with a few clouds. According to the forecast for the first 3 days of the trip it will be 4°C to 11°C in Vancouver while we’re away while it will be 7°C to 22°C in Vegas. I think I’m already vitamin D deficient so I’m looking forward to remedying that. I suppose this is one rather expensive way to fight SAD.
I’m not as prepared as possible but I’m confident things will be fine. Trying to find a James Darren CD was the only thing on my previous To Do list that was a critical failure. Otherwise I’m doing pretty well; I even found an outlet with a Kenneth Cole pretty close to where we’ll be staying.
November’s a pretty awesome month all told; with Election Night, Las Vegas, and 24: Redemption there’s a lot to look forward to. This really is the calm before the storm. Within a few hours we will be only hours away from election results and everything will begin to move very quickly from there. At 7pm eastern tomorrow 6 states (IN, KY,VA, VT, SC, and GA) close their polls and the slipstream begins, it’s bound to be a fairly intense week from that point on.
