Another Travel Dream

Last night I had another travel related dream. In this particular unconscious excursion we flew to Las Vegas but multiple delays made the process take ridiculously long such that we were exhausted upon arrival. They had built a Seattle-themed hotel next to the airport with a mock Space Needle and far too many Starbucks.

We got a room without inquiring after the price. After a nap I went to the front desk to ask about the price and it turned out to be nearly $300 for the night. It seemed high to me as the room was nice but nowhere near $300 nice. I decided to bite the bullet since it was my own fault for not asking. It turns out they accepted debit but they kept inputting the price wrong, everything from $700 to $4,000.

I told the desk I’d come back later and returned to the room. I got Mindi to take a back exit and enter the hotel from the front, go up to the desk and ask about a room as if she weren’t staying there yet. The price they quoted was half of what they told me, so she said “excellent, I’d like to pay the bill on room 109” and the guy knew his plot was foiled. Then we continued on with our vacation.
