Street Kings Review
It’s not Point Break 2, but it will do. It’s actually a pretty damn good flick. There are a few suspension of disbelief moments but no challenge for a guy who accepts talking bees and space pigs at face value. The plot is good, appropriately complex, and reasonably unconventional. One thing the movie does poorly is establish character names so pay attention as it becomes important.
The trailers cover a long span of the movie, the point at which you finally get past all the trailer clips - the trailer break if you will - actually comes pretty late in the movie. But the trailers don’t accurately depict the movie. Apparently many people expected it to be like Training Day. Don’t let the poor reviews and mediocre box office performance mislead you though, it’s pleasantly surprising.
