Review: The Bank Job
On the whole this was a pretty good flick. Maybe not quite as good as the trailers make it out the be but close. It could have been a little shorter, tighten the story up a little but it’s not like you get bored or anything. They also could have established certain elements and relationships better, like what day of the week they get into the vault. The performances were all pretty genuine, maybe not Oscar worthy but I have no complaints.
Since it’s based on a true story there’s no sense critiquing the plot except to say it’s sufficiently complicated to keep you interested.
One thing I don’t understand is it’s poor box office performance and limited showings. Is this a failure of marketing or business planning? It pulled in only 5 million it’s first weekend while that piece of crap 10,000 BC pulled in 40 million. If you have a choice between these two films for God’s sake see The Bank Job.
