To Meet Or Not To Meet
For the first time in the last few weeks Wolf Blitzer actually posed a question of substance on his blog: “Would the U.S. be better off if it met with adversaries?”
He’s no Cafferty but I felt the need to weigh in…
“I think more often than not these countries have a large anti-American sentiment so to say that a meeting with the US president could be used to support the leaders seems like false reasoning to me.
As well I don’t think anyone is suggesting another “peace in our time” outcome of such conversations but opening a dialogue is key. Are we supposed to behave like a petulant child when others don’t do what we want or are we going to behave like adults on the world stage?”
