The Cafferty File
The last couple of days I’ve tried twice more to get my comments on The Cafferty File but thus far no luck. Here are my two latest attempts, both about Hillary Clinton.
Question: Do you believe Hillary’s promise about no scandals in her White House, particularly none involving Bill?
Answer: I think the fact that this is a subject for mainstream discussion illustrates that the issue will be a problem in the general election if she gains the nomination, I think that’s the relevant question at this stage: Will Bill’s penchant for scandal hurt the Democrats’ bid for the White House if Hillary gains the nomination? It certainly won’t help.
If she couldn’t control him in relation to their marriage during his administration or keep him from speaking out negatively during her campaign for the nomination, hurting both her bid and party unity in the process, what substantial reason is there to believe she can control him if she becomes president? There are many reasons not to believe her and nothing substantive that supports her claim beyond perhaps some blind faith on the part of her supporters and their cognitive dissonance.
So in a word, no.
Question: Do you think Hillary’s support is eroding?
Answer: If she’s sinking to the level of attack ads and prop gags then her future is about as bright as Carrot Top’s.
