Redundancy: Meet The Parents
Meet The Parents had two good lines: “…if you can break my kung-fu grip” and “I will take you down. I will take you down to Chinatown“.
These phrases are both staples in the stream of consciousness running commentary in my head.
So when I was waiting for the bus at Main @ Hastings and some high school kid was being obnoxious it was not uncommon for me to think “keep that up and I will take you down. I will take you down to Chinatown.”
Then I realized I was IN Chinatown.
“Well, that would be redundant” I thought as I chuckled to myself. Everyone around me thought I was crazy.
Screw them anyways.
