Father’s Day Report
So the weather actually didn’t turn out to be too bad on Father’s Day, unfortunately for us we had already made other plans. Tova and I were disappointed on that score but I think most everyone else still thought it too cold for such activities.
Wimps.
Oh well, I guess there’s always next year and as I pointed out to Tova we don’t need a holiday to hit the waterpark(s).
So instead we went for a late lunch at Old Spaghetti Factory. I seemed to be the only one who enjoyed their food - although actually upon further reflection Tova didn’t have any complaints either. I guess we’re the troopers of the group.
I got a couple DVDs, some snazzy new batteries (will be handy in Orlando), and a tie of questionable taste as a gag gift. Tova even made me a card and got me a wallet which was very sweet of her.
We also asked someone to be a godparent and a representative on their behalf declined on the grounds that it was ‘heavy’. On odd experience to be sure but we’ve got the perfect backup, they’d go through hell just for the honour itself.
Overall it was a pretty good day. I suppose in retrospect my original requests were perhaps a little child-like. What can I say? I lack experience.
