Naked Pictures Of Famous People
Being the big fan of Jon Stewart that I am I was very pleased when I got a copy of his book for Christmas. It certainly wasn’t what I expected…
JFK: Incomprehensible. Perhaps if I had an encyclopedic knowledge of his life I’d get a joke or two.
Ford: Ruthlessly funny.
Martha Stewart: Funny, depressing, and awkward all at once.
Judaism: Jews can’t eat cheese? He’s probably joking but I think I’ll renounce just in case.
Pen Pals: It’s Stan but with Mother Teresa as Eminem and Princess Di as Stan. That’s really all I want to say about that lest I end up in a worse layer of hell than I am already destined for.
Revenge Is A Dish Best Served Cold: In poor taste, absurd, and exceptionally well written - a bizarre and surprising combination.
Most of the rest of the book develops into a trend of absurdist personification/anthropomorphizing and you really need to keep in mind that it was written in 1998.
Although The Recipe is inspired, if logically extrapolated, genius. In simpler language, a guide to creating a really good awards show drinking game.
I used to think Jon Stewart was an undervalued genius and savior, after reading the book he comes off as intelligent, witty, and deeply disturbed. Perhaps 9/11 sorted him out.
