Green NDP?
Jack Layton and the NDP seem to enjoy contacting me through various media including e-mail, phone, and snail mail. Every now and then I get a yen to reply. Like the other day they called asking for donations and I told them I was expecting a kid and donating for an campaign during an election that has yet to be called doesn’t strike me as fiscally responsible to my unborn child. They were appropriately awkward after that rebuke.
Well today I got something in the mail from them about the environment, this is what I had to say in response…
I think a big reason the environment is suddenly such a concern among the electorate is that abandoning Kyoto went directly against our often hard to define Canadian culture and values. We honour our commitments and we want to be a world leader in areas such as green initiatives. What about a Canadian X prize for an electric car?
