Grazing Rites

When I e-mailed my ‘Open Letter To The NDP’ I honestly never thought anyone, save you good people, would read it. But today I received a snail mail letter from the NDP which begins “I want to thank you for recently taking the time to share your thoughts with the NDP. My staff review every comment“.

At first I just thought it was a regular mailer but that line got my attention.

He goes on for a page re-iterating his stance on Afghanistan, he talks about his summer vacation, then spends a half page on his “Green Agenda for Canada” before losing me with talk of seniors, children, and NORAD. Finally he asks me to reply stating whether or not I agree with the direction the party is going and if not what I think their priorities should be.

That sounds all well and good except for one thing: the letter is dated August 11th and I submitted my comments August 31st.
